Winter in Villars-sur-Ollon & Gryon

Villars-sur-Ollon and Gryon share the Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets ski area — around 125 km of linked pistes across three resorts, plus year-round skiing on Glacier 3000. From December through mid-April, both villages become base camps for downhill, cross-country, snowshoeing, and family snow days at 1,130–3,000 m.

Skiing on one linked pass

A single Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets pass covers Bretaye and Chaux Ronde above Villars, Barboleusaz and Les Chaux above Gryon, and the Meilleret/Isenau sectors above Les Diablerets. Glacier 3000 is separately ticketed with bundled options.

Beginners and families

Les Chaux above Gryon and Bretaye above Villars hold long, gentle blue runs and dedicated learning zones. The Swiss Ski Schools of Villars and Gryon teach in English, French, and German.

Beyond alpine skiing

Cross-country trails run at Bretaye and Les Diablerets, marked snowshoe routes fan out from both villages, and the Villars ice rink and sledging pistes stay open through the season.

Season and access

The main ski season runs roughly December to mid-April, subject to snow. Glacier 3000 stays open year-round. Both villages are reached in around 90 minutes from Geneva Airport by car or via the Bex–Villars–Bretaye cog railway.
