Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets ski area: what to know before you book
Around 125 km of linked pistes across three Vaud Alps resorts, plus year-round skiing on Glacier 3000. Here's how the domain fits together.
The Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets domain offers around 125 km of pistes across three linked resorts, plus year-round skiing at Glacier 3000. Elevations range from about 1,130 m in Gryon village to 3,000 m at the glacier summit.
What you get on one lift pass
A single Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets pass covers the Bretaye and Chaux Ronde sectors above Villars, the Barboleusaz and Les Chaux sectors above Gryon, and the linked Meilleret/Isenau slopes above Les Diablerets. Glacier 3000 is separately ticketed but bundled options exist.
Best for beginners and families
Gryon's Les Chaux plateau and Villars' Bretaye area both hold long, gentle blue runs and dedicated learning zones. The Swiss Ski Schools of Villars and Gryon run group and private lessons in English, French, and German.
Intermediate and advanced options
Chamossaire and Meilleret offer sustained red descents; the Diablerets side accesses off-piste terrain in the Combe d'Audon. Glacier 3000's Red Run drops around 8 km back toward Reusch.
Season and conditions
The main ski season runs roughly December through mid-April, subject to snow. Glacier 3000 remains open outside those months for summer glacier skiing on a reduced footprint.
Beyond alpine skiing
The domain includes cross-country trails at Bretaye and Les Diablerets, marked snowshoe routes, the AlpyLand alpine coaster in summer, and the Peak Walk suspension bridge at Glacier 3000.
